The steam coil

The steam coil is a simple yet effective device used to circulate steam in a closed loop through coils. Inside these coils, the fluid typically consists of hot saturated steam, which emits a significant amount of heat into its surroundings. While the primary function of the heat exchanger is to regulate temperature in various environments, it also finds applications in industrial settings, such as the food industry, and is an economical solution for heating large spaces.
Radiran Coil Manufacturing Company, based in Iran, takes pride in producing high-quality shell-tube and fin-tube coils that offer longevity and reliability.
The liquid flowing through the steam coil tubes is usually saturated steam with varying pressure levels, which is why headers are placed on both sides of the coil. To optimize performance, it’s advisable to install the coil on a sloped surface. As steam traverses through each row of tubes, it transfers heat to the surrounding air, causing the temperature of the fluid to decrease and leading to steam condensation. The slope facilitates the drainage of this liquid.
At Radiran, the process of designing and manufacturing steam coils is meticulously executed using automated machinery and modern scientific principles. This approach enhances the efficiency and lifespan of the company’s production devices, ensuring customers receive top-quality products that meet their needs effectively.
