The research and development team of LU-VE directed its activities in two directions. The first had as its objective the definition of an innovative heat exchanger geometry: highly efficient and with a greatly reduced internal volume per kW exchanged. The objective of the second direction was to understand better the requirements of the application, constructing an ad hoc product for each one.

The R&D activity for LU-VE’s new industrial unit coolers (thanks also to the contribution from CFD – Computational Fluid Dynamics) has therefore been concentrated on several technical aspects such as exchanger performance in dry conditions and modifications to thermodynamic and aerodynamic behaviour of the equipment, generated by the formation of frost on the heat exchanger surfaces.
